Simulating pressure wave within pipe system(non-uniform cross section)

Simulating pressure wave within pipe system(non-uniform cross section)

Hello,
I understand CFD codes and confirms Modelica is capable to pipe flow simulation.
Today, I wonder if Modelica is capable to simulate pressure wave propagation within pipes . Especially, wave reflection is main discussion part here.

Example.1
Assume we have a pipe having non-uniform cross section. Please find idea from an attached image.

Question 1.
Can a pipe model shown in attached image solve pressure wave propagation considering pressure wave reflection from all walls (not only along flow direction but different cross section channels)?

Question 2.
If a sample pipe model is not suitable, please let me know recommendation settings.

Question 3.
When users try  transient pipe flow simulation with Modelica, is there any chance to be able to change time step (rather than element number  of pipe) ?

I appreciate your time to read this and any helpful knowledge.
Thank you.
